Thank You Pittsburgh!

We want to give a huge thank you to all who came out to see us during the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer – we had a blast and really enjoyed the sense of community that comes with getting all sorts of vintage loving folks under one roof!  We had a great time during the 2015 show year – but as the holiday season creeps up on us, we’re ready to stay home.  Since the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer was our last show this year, we’ve brought lots of our remaining stock to E.N. Miller Antique Mall in Verona – so if you saw something at the Mixer you were thinking about but didn’t buy, come down to Miller’s and see if it’s still around!  Of course, we’ve still got lots of stuff in our Etsy shop, too – clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and some housewares.  We’re going to spend the winter focusing on getting our huge clothing overstock up in our Etsy shop – and of course we’re still buying – so look forward to lots of new goodies both down at the mall and online!  We want to thank everyone again for supporting our small business – we love the local vintage scene in the ‘Burgh, and are happy to be buying and selling with you!

Tiny Treasures and Summer Fun

Just checking in to say how happy we are that it is finally summer here in the ‘Burgh – we’ve been hitting up the estate sales and flea markets, getting some sun, and enjoying ourselves immensely!  When we’re not out junking in the summertime, you can catch us working on our 1972 Shasta trailer – we run another website where we chronicle our restoration.  We’ve still got lots of smalls and furniture on display at E.N. Miller Antique Mall, we’ll have new stock coming up in our Etsy shop this week, and we’re hoping we won’t get rained out again at the July Flea-tique (it’s pouring as I write this!  Weather can be so unpredictable!).  So there – now you’ve got a bunch of links to keep you busy – and we’ll keep checking in over the summer!  We hope you’re enjoying the season as much as we are.

All Mixed Up and Swinging Into Show Season

We had a blast this past Saturday at the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer, held at the Heinz History Center down in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.  Our stock featured a mix of housewares, decor, and accessories – we had hats, handbags, ladies’ hair bows, jewelry, wall hangings, suitcases, a typewriter or two, lamps, and more!  While we managed to find new homes for lots of our wares, good news for those of you who couldn’t make it to the Mixer – we’ll be bringing all this and more to the Allegheny-Kiski Valley Historical Society Flea-tique next Sunday, May 17th.  Looks like it’ll be another hot day – but we’ll be there in space 122 with our sun shade and our smiles!  If you haven’t been to the Flea-Tique, do yourself a favor – enjoy the friendly dealers, grab some lunch from one of the food vendors, and find some treasure – all while supporting the Historical Society through your $3.00 entrance fee.

Thanks to everyone who made the Spring 2015 Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer possible – we had a great time and can’t wait for the fall.  I love people-watching at the Mixer – so many stylish Pittsburghers, struttin’ their retro appeal!  We love the Steel City and we’re glad show season is finally here – hope you’ll come out and see us next Sunday!

See You at the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer, March 9th!

We are proud to announce we’ll be making our second appearance at the fabulous Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer for a day of kitsch, conversation, and collectables!  The Mixer is Pittsburgh’s one-of-a-kind vintage vendor fair – and we’re super excited to be invited.  We’ve got some fantastic stock that we’ll be bringing – so come down to the Heinz History Center on Saturday, March 9th, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.   Check out these photos for a sample of our stock!

March Madness!

It’s about time we checked in – we’ve been enjoying taking it easy for the past few weeks.  Pittsburgh has been snowy and bitterly cold this winter.  We’ve been hibernating with our kitties and doing a little work around the house – who knew that a new bathroom floor could be so exciting?!?  We keep pretty active on our Instagram feed, so you can always find us over there.  Even though we’re been taking a little break, we’ve still been stocking up on some great treasures that we are really excited about bringing to you this spring!  We are tweaking the way we take pictures for our Etsy shop, so you can look forward to some better images of upcoming clothing.  We have a LOT of amazing clothing to photograph – I’ve spent the winter doing laundry and repairs to make sure these items are ready for spring and summer!  Oh, summer – we can’t wait.

You can anticipate some amazing swimwear, summer dresses, men’s shirts, and as always a selection of Hawaiian inspired party wear for everyone!  We also have a collection of 1930s, 40s, and 50s formal dresses in larger sizes with exquisite details ready to go!  We made a special SALE section in our Etsy shop to make room for some of these additions – take a look, make us an offer, and help us make space for new goodies!  Thinking of making a purchase?  Convo us for a discount code on anything in the shop!

In the meantime, we’re ready for shows and flea market season – we’ve got amazing lamps, clocks, luggage, globes, kitchen items, chalkware wall hangings, and other midcentury pieces all packed up and ready to go – not to mention our jewelry collection which includes novelty brooches, bakelite earrings, and more.  Our traveling stock is going to be so good this season – we’ll be sure to post details about upcoming appearances once the season gets closer.

Can’t wait for flea markets to start?  Want to do some shopping NOW?? If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, get yourself down to E.N. Miller Antique Mall in Verona and check out our space on the top floor!  As you can see from these pictures we’re overflowing with housewares, furniture, wall hangings, clocks, lamps, and everything else you need for your retro home.  We add new stock nearly every Sunday, so you’ll always see something new.  E.N. Miller has over 100 dealers on four floors, so if you’re in the area, what are you waiting for?

We hope you’re enjoying your winter season – we have enjoyed some conscious relaxation, but cabin fever is setting in and we’re ready to go!
